Neighbor-to-Neighbor Program
WTU Retail Energy understands the positive impact of a helping hand. In today’s
tough economic climate, many families are struggling to get by. That’s why we’ve
continued our long-standing support of the Neighbor-to-Neighbor program
– which supplements existing energy-assistance programs for families experiencing
financial emergencies.
WTU and its affiliates have contributed $500,000 to 31 community agencies
throughout Texas in 2008. Each agency screens applicants and determines who
will receive assistance. Recipients can receive up to $600 in any calendar year. WTU customers can also help their
neighbors in need by contributing to the fund by checking a box on their monthly
bill.
